(brief ) Answers to those tough questions

Updated: Nov 9, 2018

The world we live in is broken, I mean our world is really messed up, but there is some beauty out there, and that beauty is God. God calls us to bring back that beauty to the world. In fact God calls each and everyone of us to be a saint, God calls us to change the world. And change begins with ourselves.

Why change? You might ask, well there was a time when I was lost, I didn’t know god, I didn’t know my purpose in life, I was just sad and broken But through Jesus I was able to pick myself up again, and now let me tell you there is nothing and I mean NOTHING better than being happy, knowing you have a purpose in life, and having an eternal best friend, Jesus!

So I wrote this short-ish guide to help you find Jesus, and to be Happy!

Who made us?

“So God created humankind in his image,” (Genesis 1:27)

God made us, And not only did God make us he made us in his image so we could be more like him.

Why did God make us?

“For in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers-all things have been created for him.” (col. 1:16)

All things (including us) have been created for him.

What is the purpose of our existence?

“Everyone who is called by my name, whom I have created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” (Isaiah 43:7)

We were created for God’s glory, but what does that mean? In Isaiah 43:8 it says “Bring forth the people who are blind, yet have eyes, who are deaf, yet have ears!” So we were created to display god’s glory and goodness and to open the eyes of the blind and and teach the deaf.

So if the purpose of our existence is to glorify God and display his goodness, How do we do that? (How do we glorify God?) “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.” (1 cor. 10:31) anything we do we need to do for god, offer everything to God. whether it’s doing homework, doing dishes, being nice to someone you don’t like or even sleeping. Offer that to God. We can offer our day to God by saying the morning offering prayer:

“O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy sacrifice of the mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all our associates, and in particular for the intentions of our Holy Father for this month.”

By saying that prayer everything that we do throughout the day will be offered up to God.

We can also follow the 10 commandments; God said “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” (John 14:15) We all love God so we should keep his commandments;

1. I’m the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.

2. You shall not take the name of the Lord God in vain.

3. Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day.

4. Honor your father and your mother.

5. You shall not kill.

6. You shall not commit adultery.

7. You shall not steal.

8. You shall not bear false witness.

9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.

10. You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

Another thing that might be the most effective is Prayer.

“He who Prays the most receives the most.”

-Alphonsus Maria De Liguori

There are all kinds of prayer but The most holy Mass is the most powerful form of prayer. Because We Directly encounter Jesus Christs presence in the Eucharist.

By going to mass every Sunday as commanded in the 10 commandments, we participate in the most powerful prayer.

My favorite way of praying is a writing a letter to Jesus, Every Night I write Jesus a 1-10 paragraph letter Telling him about my day or any concerns I may have or really just anything I want or need.

Finally I want to end here, I hope this all helps. Before you leave I gave a link for a video that I found really helpful. Please watch it. \
