The smallest things can make a change!
Updated: Mar 21, 2020
In our world today, I know it can seem nearly impossible to change people around you and show them about your faith like you are called to do. It just seems like you could never do something big enough or good enough for people to listen. But the truth is we don't have to do anything big or drastic to make a change in our environment. This is because sometimes the smallest things, if done with real love for others and for God, can make an even bigger impression than the larger things.
One of my favorite books, Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (Who was Catholic!) wrote in his book, "Some believe that it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love." I really love this quote because it reminds you that the darkness (the works of the devil) can be overpowered by small acts done with a true love for God. We don't have to do anything huge to let people see Christ within us. We can be like Saint Therese. Taking on this daunting world one good deed at a time.
