Gossip and its Damage
"Never utter in your neighbors absence what you would not say in their presence."- St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi. Unfortunately I made a very embarrassing mistake/ carless act that really hurt one of my absolute best friends, and it certainly drove this point home. Gossip is a hard habit to get rid of. I gossiped about my good friend to another good friend of ours not knowing that she was part of the group chat. She was hurt first of all by what I said about her and second of all that I would talk bad about her to her own good friends. Even though me and her have made up it will take quite a while for her to trust me again. A stupid sentence that wasn't thought through has damaged an 8 year relationship. Little mean thoughts about people is what the devil feeds off of and how he makes good people mad at good people. Don't let gossip get the best of you, and if you do please seek forgiveness from both the Father AND the person you did the wrong too. It takes a lot of courage to confess to our brothers and sisters but it is part of the deal. One last thought pray for the strength to stop gossiping, I don't know about you but I am going to need all the help I can get!
